Lea and Kevin's wedding day at the Morehead Inn was something truly magical. It made me fall in love with downtown Charlotte even more than I thought I could.
Tucked away in the hustle of the city is The Morehead Inn. Originally built in 1917 as a private residence and finally transformed into a bed and breakfast in 1984, this is a venue that brings a past era to life. From the stunning wallpaper, to the chandeliers, and gouldian finches, I was convinced that I had traveled back in time to a Gatsby party.
The getting ready spaces for both the bride and groom were exquisite. Right above the bridal suite was a long staircase which was perfect for showing off Lea's intricate train.
Not only was the actual inside of the home an architectural masterpiece, but the outside grounds made for endlessly stunning backgrounds. The ceremony space that Lea and Kevin chose backed up to a bird bath garden lined with a row of bright red carnations.
After the ceremony Lea and Kevin stole the show during their couple's portraits. It truly looked as if they were getting married at the new estate they just built. The red carnations from Lea's bouquet were the perfect pop of color to their black tie theme.
After their couple's portraits around the grounds, it was time for the real party to begin! Of course, the reception area was just as breathtaking as the rest of the property. After a night of eating, drinking, and dancing, Lea and Kevin's perfect wedding day came to a close.
There were so many incredible vendors who made this wedding day possible and I would be remiss to not mention them.
